| Ashley has lived and worked in the south for most of her life. She is a self-taught artist. Some of her influences include, Degas, Van Gogh, Matisse and Edward Hopper. Her work attempts to capture the vivid storytelling characteristics native to the deep South. She mainly works in acrylic but has ventured into other mediums. She uses color, function and design to promote people who live simply and practically. |
